Hestia Statue
$150.00
The Greeks honored Hestia as the goddess of hearth and home, the source of warmth, light, and nourishment in every household. She personified the sacred fire burning in the hearth, which was never allowed to go out except during special rituals. At every family sacrifice, Hestia received the first offering—sweet wine and the richest portion of food—symbolizing her central place in daily life. Though she had no public temples of her own, Hestia was honored in every sanctuary, no matter which god it was dedicated to. Known for her kind, forgiving, and gentle nature, she was peaceful and non-confrontational. Hestia was the eldest daughter of Cronos and Rhea, swallowed by Cronos at birth and later regurgitated along with her siblings.
